Morana. The second work from the triptych "Aspects of the High Priestess"

The shadow aspect of the feminine origin, which gives birth of life in a broad meaning. However, the shadow aspect is not because it harbors negative qualities, but because it goes beyond the human world. Morana and Lilith are two sides of the same coin, however, both are demonized in the Abrahamic scriptures.

Morana is an image of the sacred darkness that existed as the original canvas of space-time before the first creations of matter and before life appeared. Morana existed before the beginning of beginnings and long before "nothing" turned into "something".

Morana is the incarnate image of the force that turns the wheel of life, but is barren in itself, does not give life and does not belong to the living world. Morana carries death not as a punishment, but as a purification from everything old and obsolete. She "reaps the ears" so that "a new crop will spring up." She brings winter to the fields so that spring will come after her. She graciously takes away to give space for a new blessing.

Morana is the sacred darkness of the womb of the Great Mother of Life. Here, in the human world, it is a symbol of one of the two principles of the duality system. Morana brings destruction into the world, which blesses all living things for growth and creation. Lilith is the bestowing and blessing beginning, while Morana is the emptiness and the end of any cycle. Together they are two snakes who crawl on the wheel of life, and who start its run. Life has no meaning without death, which gives the eternal purity. Morana is a philosophy of death as a new beginning. She is the patroness of rebirth.
